Sober By Grace
Where new beginnings start
Who is a prospective resident?
Anybody is a prospective resident. We have very few steadfast rules, other than you must have a
sincere desire to stop drinking, and be willing to go to any lengths to achieve that. We promise
we won't ask you to do anything illegal, or unethical. Your sponsor may ask you to do some
things that seem obsessive, or even pointless but eventually you will "Get it."
Who isn't a prospective resident?
We aren't here to teach you to cut back on your drinking or using. We aren't here to teach you
how to control it. We aren't a flop house. We are all equal, and everyone does their fair share.
We aren't here to broaden your knowledge base if you already know it all.
What we require
- A sincere desire to not use, not drink, and recover is a must.
- You will need to be employed, or find employment within 3 weeks of becoming a
resident. We WILL help you with this requirement. (Attending school full is allowable)
- Sponsorship: Get an acceptable sponsor, immediately. We
WILL assist you with this.
- If you are in an aftercare obligation, you must follow through. (Post rehab clients )
- Appropriate dress. We are not a jail and as such, you will not be allowed to sag.
-
A lack of perfection: Christ was perfect, we
are not, nor should we try to be.
